Auto-training for Korean cuisine !

Hi there !

Today I decided I need a proper cooking training for Korean food. You may guess I'm not rich enough to subscribe to those fancy royal cuisine courses, so I decided to trust the beautiful internet and get some advice from Korean People.

First of all, I googled a random recipe of Kimchi Stew. Gather the ingredients from the closest supermarket and I was ready for my first cooking show :D

I trusted my feelings, and my talent !

Let me teach you, now that I'm experienced !

So, Kimchi jiggae is something you can cook in several ways. You just make it your own style, with the ingredients you prefer. I'm not a meat lover so I decided not to put Pork. Feel free to add some if you like it :)

Here is Kamy Style Kimchi Jiggae :3

One wise hostel owner once told me "The older your Kimchis are, The best is your kimchi stew".
I think we should keep this advice. My friend's mum offered me a LOT of her handmade Kimchi, so I guess "mummy kimchis" are very good quality :) - Also, I'm a tofu lover (Did I said that before ? xD)
so I'll combine it. It's actually sun tofu jiggae now.

I choose to add onions, mushrooms and green onions

One spoon of Gochujang

Sesame oil to fry the Kimchi...
I looooove the smell of this oil *_*

First part, fry onions, mushrooms, and kimchis together (Not green onions yet)

I added 3 glass of water for the soup. And some more after. Feeling :D
2 spoons of gochugaru (Chili powder)
1 spoon of gochujang (Chili paste)
Leave it boiling. (Feeling again)

When it's done, add the sun tofu and green onions, wait 5 more minutes and here you are !

So, remember, there are many other ways to cook it, add pork, use anchovy stock, some people put sugar... Try it and make it your way ^^!
