One week end in Yeongju

Last weekend, I decided to explore Korea a little bit more and go on a 2 days trip to Yeongju with my friends!

Day one: We rented a car in Seoul and ride it to Yeongju! Rent a random motel and tried the local Maegkoli. Don't worry, if you can't drive, there are bus which are

Day two: It started with a Nice Tofu restaurant for Lunch, best way to start a day :)
I'm a tofu lover!

Such a nice view from our terrace! I felt immediately relax and started to feel on holidays from this place!

Then, we reached a typical village, called Seonbichon Village, and spent the afternoon walking around. It was a really nice place,  which is famous for its classical scholars’ loyalty and filial piety.

We could play some traditional games! It was really nice :)

Trying to be as cute as Korean people taking pictures there...And fail...

For the drama experts reading this, here is the bridge where the lantern festival happened in Love in the Moonlight. Park Bo Gum was there. It was like a pilgrimage for me *_*

That made us hungry, so we decided to have dinner in a traditional restaurant (yes, everything was quite traditional during this trip !)

Cutest bibimbap I've eaten!

And here is where we spent the night! In a traditional (yes...) house, in the Yeongju Museum Village.
We wanted to experience Hanok stay, this place was so cute, I recommend it!

Here is our little house :3

This is an attraction from this village. This bridge was build to connect the village to the city. It was the only way to get in and out of there and is 150 meters.

DAY 3, We visited the Buseoksa Temple. It's situated on a mountain, so you have to climb a bit to reach it, but the view worth it so much!

To sum up, it was such a lovely place, far from the city, very relaxing. I'm wondering if it's easy to go around with public transportation. Renting a car was really convenient.

I really recommend the Hanok stay tho!

Also, Yeongju is very close to Andong, so it's a good stopover for people traveling around Korea !
